THE EXPERIENCE AND LESSON FROM ZANZIBAR WORKSHOP
Kisare Joshua Lutambi happily shared his story from the experience he got from one of our latest trainings on documentation and organization branding.
“Being part of a diverse team of young people that went for a workshop in Zanzibar has really changed
my perspective on the concept of branding. I have been able to learn a wide range of issues regarding
personal and organizational branding and the importance of documentation at an institutional level.
One important thing facilitators insisted on personal branding is having a think on three aspects;
personal strengths, what others would say about me especially the negative side of me and who I
want to be in the near coming future. Having a deeper reflection on these things would allow me to be
self-determined and find a career path that is suitable for me and goes in line with my interests,
abilities and skills. Moreover, the workshop has enormously increased my comprehension around
facilitating sessions in a participatory approach; I just got hands on experience from the facilitators. At
an organizational level TYVA will benefit from this capacity building as members are skilled and equipped to perform for better results. Having someone with practical skills in branding and documentation will strengthen the
capacity of TYVA in setting up branding strategies, establish and propose a suitable manner of
documenting in the organization.”
Lastly Joshua was excited about another opportunity to attend more workshops and training for organizational and personal development.
